Laura Butler Rivera (AEA) is an international actor, director, choreographer, and teacher with over 18 years of experience in the theater industry. She has performed, conducted theater workshops, and taught in various countries, including Turkey, Berlin, Japan, Lithuania, Romania, Italy, the USA, Australia, Colombia, Cuba, Vietnam, and Puerto Rico. Laura is a member of CABORCA Theatre and a co-founder of One-Eighth Theater. She holds an MFA in Acting from Columbia University and a BA in Drama from the University of Puerto Rico.
She recently performed in Zoetrope, a Caborca Theatre production which formed part of the 62nd Festival de Teatro Puertorriqueño of the ICP. This was Zoetrope’s Third tour after Los Angeles and Cuba.
She wrote, directed, choreographed, and co-produced APORIA || NAN ĐỀ in Residency at ATH (Atelier Theatre de Hanoi) in Hanoi, Vietnam, in collaboration with the talented actors from ACA (Actors as Creative Artists) in 2024.
